Latest changes to SailSWSC.org

January 18th, 2008

I completed the Catalina points coding changes. I added in some test numbers just to get some results, 3 for 1st, 2 for 2nd, etc…. I updated the maintenance pages and the racing pages with the changes.

I changed the racing pages, so the position value will accept a -1 to for a DNF, and a Zero for the Committee. This looks to be working just fine on the spreadsheets.

I opened up the “Spinnaker Bag” - my page I created for people to stuff interesting or knowledge items into one location. Just submit a topic or discussion and I’ll get it posted. I’ll put some of the best into the newsletters as well. Let me know if anyone sees a bug with the “more” link.

New web design

November 27th, 2007

The new website has been released. There are a few changes left to make, but the majority of the site has been rewritten and is available. Changes to the calendar and racing information are now easily changed by committee members.

As new features are completed they will become available from the menu.

Blog and Calendar access

November 20th, 2007

To allow the site to be more easily maintained, a handful of people will be given access to edit/write items to the Calendar and to the Blog. This is to prevent spam and other unwanted solicitations on the site.

If there is a need for more users to have access to write comments in the Blog or add items to the Calendar, we can discuss with the officers in the club.

New web design

November 20th, 2007

I’ve been working on getting a new web design for the club. There are many tools available through the hosting server and I have activated several - Blogging(what you’re looking at now) and a Calendar program. Other parts of the site I have designed and developed on my own.
